The Java Learnership Programme is explicitly focused on creating a pipeline for Java Developers. It is a time-series programme split into a half-year academic preparation (academy-based) followed by a second half-year enterprise preparation (employment-based).
Programme members receive a salary, not compensation. Scholars receive a stipend of R4 500 per month for the initial half-year of training (academic members) and R5 000 per month for the remaining half-year of the programme (practical members).
The well-heeled scholars are given the opportunity to progress towards conventional Java Development skills as well as applying the essential enterprise corridors of their literacy. This means that on completion of the programme, scholars will earn a National Certificate in Information Technology Systems Development (NQF 5).

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Musts
- Have the option to talk, read and compose English
- Have finished Matric and passed Mathematics or Computer Science on HG (with least go of 60) or have finished a Post Matric 3 Year IT Qualification
- Not be for all time employed
- Not be enrolled on some other learnership
- Be PC educated
- Not be learning at some other foundation
- Be between the periods of 18-30
The Reclamation Process
Applicants will be required to complete a critical assessment. The accompanying checks will be directed towards an Instructional Ability Check; and Proof of South African Citizenship/Residence/Work License.
