Purpose:
The provision of labour as directed by a supervisor in order to ensure a safe and clean working environment or optimized cargo operation in MPT and DBT.
Outputs:
- . Cleaning of operational equipment (such as ship-to-shore cranes’ windows; cranes’ cabins; etc.)
- . Hooking/ unhooking.
- . Tarping/ untarping where applicable.
- . Place/ remove dunnage.
- . Cleaning of operational areas, rail trucks, plant, workshops, offices, sheds and ablution facilities as instructed.
- . Complete applicable documentation i.e. accident reports.
- . Shunting out of Rail Wagons When Required In Operational Areas.
- . Coupling and Uncoupling of Rail Wagons In Operational Areas When Required.
- . Inspection of container condition.
- . Reefer monitoring operations.
- . Opening and Closing of rail wagons twist-locks.
- . Identification of correct cargo handling equipment/ gear.
- . Loading off-loading and slacking of cargo in compliance with standard operating procedures
About You:
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months experience OR ROC:
- Grade 10
- Minimum of 2 year’s experience
- Grade 12
