Job Description
- Install all plant instrumentation, electrical and mechanical equipment and systems
- Perform engineering inspections, identify problem areas and implement pro-active maintenance and plant improvement corrective action
- Create site reports and update maintenance connection of any equipment change on site. (New equipment, altered settings, etc.)
- Pneumatic and Electronic calibrations – workshop and plant.
- Installation and maintenance of analogue gauges/indicators
- Clean and maintain all instrument and electrical equipment on the plant
- Execute works orders and Scheduled task as per CMMS
- Dispose unwanted articles/scrap in a safe and environmental friendly manner
- Ensure that all safety standards are maintained
- Scale weighing systems repairs
- Fault finding on instrument loops and electrical circuits – Troubleshooting
- Panel design and wiring
- Provide appropriate and adequate feedback and input to the Engineering Team with respect to plant condition, spares and scheduling requirements, and repairs carried out.
About You:
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Matric
- 3-5 years of experience in a chemical/petrochemical environment.
- Pneumatic, electric and hydraulic experience
- Qualified Artisan (Trade Test/ Red Seal Millwright)
