Barloworld Equipment is a Cat Earthmoving Equipment dealer in Southern Africa, with operations in South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Namibia, Angola, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, and a joint venture in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Barloworld Equipment also fully owns a major dealership in the Iberian Peninsula and recently completed the purchase of their joint venture partner's stake in a dealership in Siberia, eastern Russia.
Key Outputs
- Maintain professional image when representing BWE on customer site
- Ensure safe work practice
- Remove and install auto electrical components
- Quickly and efficiently deal with all customers auto electrical breakdowns
- Carry out auto-electrical repairs and maintenance on Earthmoving Equipment in workshops or on customer sites
- Compile accurate parts list needed for machine repairs
- Compile accurate customer service reports
- Maintain field service vehicle and equipment
- Effective self-management and performance ownership
- Control own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)
- Comply with Contamination control requirements
About You:
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience on electric and electronic systems on Caterpillar machines
- Grade 12, Qualified in relevant trade (Auto - Electrician)
- Machine specific technical knowledge and skills
- Sound knowledge of safety rules & mining operations
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in electrical and electronic systems
- Applicable attachments product operation knowledge
- Good understanding of Caterpillar electrical and electronic system
- Good technical report writing skills
- Knowledge and/or exposure to ISO quality systems.
- Valid Driver’s licence
- Good computer literacy (SIS, STW & ET, Microsoft Office) knowledge.
- Machine specific technical knowledge and skills
- Numerical reasoning
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills
